We believe in data minimization. When you use LetterPilot AI, we collect only the minimal data necessary to provide our service:

• Generator Inputs: The job title, years of experience, key skills, optional company name, and selected tone you submit to generate a cover letter. This information is processed in real time by our Cloudflare Functions and AI inference engines to return your letter. We do not store or sell your generated letters.
• IP Addresses & Rate Limiting: To prevent denial-of-service attacks, automated scraping, and abuse, we track anonymous IP addresses and daily request counts using Cloudflare KV. This data is strictly used to enforce our rate limit (5 free generations per IP per day) and is automatically purged after 48 hours.
• Log Files: Like most websites, LetterPilot AI follows a standard procedure of utilizing server log files. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any personally identifiable information.

2. Cookies, Web Beacons, and Local Storage

LetterPilot AI uses cookies and browser Local Storage to enhance your experience:

• Consent Cookie: We store a simple flag (lp_cookie_consent) in your browser’s localStorage to remember your preference regarding our cookie consent banner.
• Third-Party Vendor Cookies: Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to our website or other websites on the internet.

3. Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising Vendors

LetterPilot AI is monetized through advertising provided by Google AdSense and authorized third-party ad networks. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to https://letterpilotai.com and/or other sites on the Internet:

• Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons in their respective advertisements and links that appear on LetterPilot AI. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs.

5. CCPA Privacy Rights (Do Not Sell My Personal Information)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California consumers have the right to:
